We’re not a family of ‘talkers’ – never have been, never will be. This is screamingly apparent when we spend time with other families and encounter ‘talkers’!
We all know those who can’t stand the void of silence and then those who thrive on the debate that ‘talking’ can provoke. I’m more of a listener than a talker.
At a family funeral the other week I saw two sides to my family – the talkers and the non talkers. The pew I was on was the ‘non talkers’, the one behind being, very clearly, ‘the talkers’.
I’d like to learn to join the talkers.
